From 1st January 2010<\/strong>, the use of pure hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs)<\/strong> is prohibited in the maintenance and servicing of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment existing on that date.<\/p>\n

All hydrochlorofluorocarbons will be banned from 1st January 2015.<\/strong> "Extract of the European Regulation 2037\/2000 published in the Official Journal of the EU, 29 June 2000, Article 5. <\/p>\n

The deadline is short for all those companies having facilities that still use R-22. They will have to replace or convert the facilities in time as to avoid the risk of causing an interruption in the refrigeration process. <\/strong><\/p>\n
