A look back at the 31st Voiles du Froid

An exceptional edition of Voiles du Froid, bathed in sunshine, wind and sport.

Friday May 16th

The start of the 31st Voiles du Froid was given from the charming port of Port Haliguen, where crews hoisted their sails for the Matelex regatta. Despite a promising start, the wind died as they passed La Teignouse, and the Mobil regatta had to be postponed until the following day.

On arrival at the Port du Palais, the sailors docked to the sound of music, greeted by a lively brass band, in a warm and festive atmosphere. The day ended in style with a convivial evening, punctuated by exchanges and tastings of local specialities.

Saturday May 17th

The morning got off to a flying start with the Mobil and Snefcca regattas. Carried along by a steady wind, the yachts put on an impressive show, sailing at high speed in ideal sailing conditions. The crews expressed themselves to the full in an atmosphere that was both sporting and enthusiastic.

The afternoon was given over to a rally through the breathtaking scenery of Belle-Ile-en-Mer, a playful and exotic interlude that allowed participants to discover the island’s landscapes.

To round off the day, the Climalife reception brought all the guests together in a warm, festive atmosphere, perfect for reliving the emotionally-charged highlights on the water and ashore.

Sunday May 18th

For this last day at sea, the crews were more than motivated to compete enthusiastically in the Honeywell regatta, followed by the Climalife regatta. The Honeywell regatta, followed by the Climalife regatta, which were decisive for winning the Trophy. Buoyed by a generous wind and clear skies, the yachts once again put on a dynamic show on sparkling seas.

The awards ceremony, bathed in sunshine and applause, celebrated not only the sporting achievements, but also the team spirit and conviviality that marked the three days.

Congratulations to the CEF Nord 1 team for their superb victory, closely followed by Gasco Holland and the German crew Rietig & Stock, who completed a resolutely European podium!
