The Commission regulation No 1494/2007 of December 17, 2007 determines the type of label and additional requirements concerning labelling with regard to the products and equipment containing certain fluorinated greenhouse gases
Some requirements with regards to labelling ::
– the label must carry the text ‘Contains fluorinated greenhouse gases covered by the Kyoto Protocol’; the abbreviated chemical names for the fluorinated greenhouse gases; the quantity of the fluorinated greenhouse gases, expressed in kilograms; the text `hermetically sealed”, where applicable;
– the Member States must be able to decide to use their own language on these labels;
– the label must be designed so that it is clearly readable and remains firmly in place.
