Our challenge: reduction of fossil fuel dependency

It is a fact that the number one cause of climate change is our dependence on fossil fuels. The main purpose of any carbon mitigating technology should be to reduce the impact on the environment largely by offsetting non-renewable carbon with renewable carbon. Therefore limiting a person’s, a product’s, or a brand’s carbon footprint. Greenway® Neo N range is a perfect example how everyone benefits and especially nature.

Renewable bio-based feedstock, such as 1,3 propanediol derived from industrial dent corn grown in the USA, is a perfect alternative to replace fossil fuel materials in the development of new solutions, including cooling systems which are mainly filled with glycols. Shifting the trajectory from oil to renewables is essential.

Susterra® propanediol is 100% bio-based and renewably sourced with no impact on the food chain

Being biobased is not enough for CovationBio. Going one step further is sourcing the feedstock material, dent corn, from renewable sources which are managed in the most responsible way. CovationBio is partnering with Primient and Truterra to support the adoption of conservation practices at large scale in the USA covering 100% of the needs to produce its PDO. This is at the same time good for the farmer and for the environment.

The farmer gets support in best practices to cultivate the land based on data points measured such as soil quality, need for fertilizer and many more. Producers of intermediates and final products can take advantage of the renewable Susterra® Propanediol to achieve their sustainability goals by lowering fossil fuel dependency together with a lower carbon footprint from raw materials.
